Issue: On certain aerial devices, the legs of the unit mounting frame can develop cracks. If this happens, the mounting frame side plate could break and the pedestal could separate from the truck frame. Safety Risk: A pedestal that separates from the truck frame could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and provide them with instructions for how to inspect the mounting frame side plates. If cracks are found, Altec will repair the side plates or provide a repair kit that a qualified service provider can install.
