Issue
On certain trailers with rear sliding axles, the rear axle attachment points could crack. Specifically, small cracks may appear in the front corners of the slide pan where the suspension attaches. Over time, the cracks can grow and cause the suspension hanger to detach from the trailer.
Safety risk
A suspension hanger that detaches from the trailer could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Trail King will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer for an inspection and to add reinforcements between the suspension hanger and the slide pan. If any cracks are found, the cracks will be welded and repaired before adding the reinforcements.
