Issue
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the connection points for the lower universal anchorage system (UAS), for securing a child or booster seat, may not be positioned correctly on the rear seat. Additionally, the head restraints in the rear seats may interfere with the proper installation of taller child or booster seats that have rigid lower anchor connectors.
Note: This recall affects Super Cab models equipped with rear seats that have fixed head restraints.
Safety Risk:
A child or booster seat that is not properly attached or properly positioned could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the head restraints on the rear seats. Additionally, the lower universal anchorage system (UAS) will be inspected and repaired, as necessary.
