Issue
On one school bus, the power steering hose may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the hose could be damaged by contact with the alternator charge cable and cause a short circuit.
Safety risk
Damage to the power steering hose and alternator charge cable may cause an engine compartment fire.
Corrective actions
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify the owner by mail and instruct you to take the bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect the routing of the power steering hose. It will be modified, if necessary.
