Issue
On certain trailers equipped with a Dexter Smart-Steer 2.0 self-steering axle, the bolts that attach the steer arm to the knuckle could break. If this happens, the steer arm or the bolts could detach from the trailer.
Safety risk
Parts that detach from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Fericar Inc. will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a Dexter Canada authorized service facility to weld the steer arms to the knuckles.
