Issue

Issue:
A small number of vehicles may be missing a bolt that secures the driver-front airbag to the steering wheel, or the bolt may not be properly tightened. As a result, the airbag may not open and inflate properly in a crash.

Safety Risk:
An airbag that does not inflate properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Action:
General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the driver-front airbag assembly. The bolts will be tightened or replaced, as required. If the bolts can't be properly tightened, the airbag assembly will be replaced.
