Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the engine connecting rods could break and cause an engine failure. This could cause a sudden loss of power with an inability to restart.
Safety Risk:
An engine failure could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Aprilia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer replace the engine. Aprilia advises that you should not ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs have been completed, except to take it to the dealer for this repair.
