Transport Canada Recall - 2021390 - SETRA

Issue:
On certain buses, the welds between the engine compartment flaps and the mounting hinges may crack over time. If this happens, the engine compartment flaps could separate from the vehicle.

Safety Risk:
An engine compartment flap that separates from a vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a part that separates could also hit another person or vehicle.

Corrective Action:
Daimler Coaches North America will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a dealer to attach restraining tethers on the engine compartment flaps.
