Issue
On certain fire trucks, the pump shift solenoid may become corroded and fail. If this happens, power to the pump control module may be lost, and the vehicle may not shift into pump mode.
Safety risk
A loss of power to the pump control module can cause a loss of water pressure for fighting fires. This could delay emergency response and increase the risk of injury.
Corrective actions
Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the pump shift solenoid.
