Issue:
On certain vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the gear selector cable could come loose. If this happens, the driver may not be able to shift the transmission into gear, or may unintentionally shift into the wrong gear. This could cause sudden and unexpected vehicle movements.
Safety Risk:
Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action:
Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the transmission control assembly.
