Issue

Issue: On certain trailers, there is an error in the vehicle identification number (VIN). The 14th digit of the VIN was incorrectly listed as "4", instead of "3". As a result, the trailer manufacturer cannot be properly identified using the VIN. Canadian regulations provide a format the VIN number that must be followed. Safety Risk: This error could cause confusion when trying to identify the trailer using the VIN. Corrective Actions: Lorne's Welding will provide each owner with a letter to explain this error. You should keep this letter with your trailer to provide proof of this error, and help answer any questions about it.
