Issue
On certain travel trailers, the bolts that secure the roof-mounted air conditioner could loosen or break. As a result, the air conditioner could detach from the trailer while driving.
Safety risk
An air conditioner that falls from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Airstream will notify owners by mail will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the mounting of the air conditioner. The dealer will install additional foam support blocks under the rear of the air conditioner and replace the mounting bolts. If the new bolts are unable to be tightened correctly, the air conditioner will be replaced.
