Issue
Issue:
Under certain riding conditions, the muffler could overheat. If this happens, the upper right-hand vent grill could melt and drip plastic onto the exhaust.
Note: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles with a 600 EFI engine.
Safety Risk:
Plastic that melts onto a hot exhaust system could create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealer to update the engine control module software. The dealer will also install heat reflective foil on the vent grill.
