Issue
Issue:
On certain school buses, the software for the electronic stability control (ESC) was not programmed correctly. As a result, the ESC system may not function as intended.
Safety Risk:
A stability control system that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Blue Bird will notify owners by mail and provide instructions for inspecting the part number on the hydraulic brake electronic control unit (ECU). Owners will be instructed to take the bus to a dealer to replace the antilock brake system (ABS) modulator assembly.
