Issue
Certain vehicles do not meet a performance requirement of Canadian regulations for crash protection. In particular, the vehicles do not meet the minimum testing requirements for an out of position 6-year old child located on the front passenger seat.
Safety risk
An airbag system that does not meet the performance requirements of Canadian regulations could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective actions
Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the airbag control module.
