Issue:
On one fire truck, the wireless remote control used to direct the water stream and adjust the spray pattern could lose battery power while in use. If this happens, the firefighter would not be able to direct the water stream or adjust the spray pattern remotely and would have to revert to manual mode.
Safety Risk:
This problem could slow a firefighting operation, which may increase the risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
The company will contact the owner and instruct them to return the controller to Akron Brass for a software update.
