Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) on the compliance label does not match the VIN that is stamped into the frame of the motorcycle.
Safety Risk:
Canadian regulations require each vehicle to have a unique vehicle identification number (VIN) that can be found in multiple places on the motorcycle.
Corrective Actions:
Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to install a corrected compliance label.
