This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2024-483. Issue: On certain vehicles, two of the cosmetic roof trims may not be properly attached. This includes the cosmetic roof trim just behind the top of the windshield and the spine cosmetic roof trim between the rear doors. Over time, these cosmetic roof trims could loosen and separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: Cosmetic roof trims that detach from a moving vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Tesla Service to arrange for a no-charge inspection of your vehicle. If the cosmetic roof trims are not properly attached, they will be re-installed.
