Issue
On certain vehicles, the bolts that connect the front upper control arm and steering knuckle may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper control arm could separate from the knuckle. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control.
Safety risk
A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Tesla will notify owners and arrange for an inspection of the upper control arm bolts. They will be tightened, if necessary.
