Issue: On certain vehicles, the front and rear brake hoses may have been damaged during production. Over time, this could cause the hoses to leak brake fluid. If this happens, brake performance could be reduced and there could be a loss of stability when braking. Note: This problem could cause the brake pedal to 'feel soft' or cause the low brake fluid light to turn on. If you experience either of these symptoms, you should park your vehicle and contact your local Mercedes-Benz dealer. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the brake hoses on the rear and front axles. They will be replaced, if necessary.
