Issue
On certain motorhomes equipped with driver and passenger Villa 6-way power seats, the wiring for the seat rocker switch may not be the correct size and may not be routed correctly. As a result, the switch wires could be damaged on the seat frame. This could cause a short circuit. Additionally, if the seat rocker switch gets stuck in the on (open) position, the wires could overheat and melt.
Safety risk
A short circuit or overheated wiring could create the risk of fire.
Corrective actions
Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer for an interim repair. The dealer will install a protective loom and cable ties to secure the wiring harness until the final repairs are available. You should make sure that the seat rocker switch is not stuck in the on position after using it, to prevent the wires from overheating.
