Issue: On certain scooters, the material of brake hose connections could cause a chemical reaction with the brake fluid. This can cause reduced braking, and an increase in travel of the brake lever and brake pedal that is required to stop the scooter. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Piaggio will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your scooter to a dealer to flush and replace the brake fluid.
