Issue
Issue:
On certain aerial devices, hydraulic oil may leak from fittings, incorrectly routed hoses, and/or from the PTO and pump. This could result in hydraulic oil leaking onto the exhaust system.
Note: This recall only affects aerial devices mounted on Ford F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks equipped with a gas engine.
Safety Risk:
An oil leak onto a hot exhaust system could cause a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and repair your vehicle. The instructions will require you to inspect for oil leaks, improper hose routing and replace certain parts.
