Issue
On certain vehicles, the wrong headlight lenses may have been installed. This could cause the headlights to produce blue light. Canadian regulations do not allow headlights to emit a blue light.
Safety risk
Headlights that produce blue light may confuse other road users. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the headlights. They will be replaced, if necessary.
