Transport Canada Recall - 2020401 - FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES

Issue:
On certain trucks with adjustable pedals, the accelerator pedal could get stuck on the all-weather floor mat. If this happens, the truck may not slow down when the driver releases the accelerator pedal.
Note: If the driver continues to brake, the brake-throttle override system will close the throttle opening and allow the driver to stop the truck.

Safety Risk:
A stuck accelerator pedal could lead to unintended acceleration of the truck and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the all-weather floor mat. You should remove the driver's all-weather floor mat until this recall is completed.
