Issue

Issue:
On certain cargo vans, an additional bench seat may have been installed incorrectly. In specific, the seat may not be properly attached and may not have protection from corrosion. Over time, this could cause the seat to loosen and detach.
Note: This recall only affects vans that were sold by Mercedes-Benz Mississauga, and up-fitted by Total Autoglass.

Safety Risk:
A seat that is loose or detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect your van. The vehicle will be repaired as necessary. Mercedes-Benz advises that these bench seats should not be used until an inspection is completed.
