Transport Canada Recall - 2020326 - ALTEC INDUSTRIES

Issue: On one aerial device truck, the trailer hitch may have an incorrect load rating. This could lead to overloading of the hitch and result in a failure. If this happens, a trailer could detach from the truck. Safety Risk: A trailer hitch failure could allow a trailer to detach from the truck, and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Altec will notify the owner by mail and advise them to inspect the bumper and trailer hitch receiver tube for cracks and repair them as necessary. Altec will also supply a replacement load rating placard and instructions for installing it.
