Issue:
The compliance label on certain travel trailers lists the wrong Gross Axle Weight Ratings (GAWR). The label incorrectly lists the GAWR as 5,080 lb. (2,304 Kg) when it should list 3,080 lb. (1,397 Kg). This could lead to overloading of the trailer and cause poor handling or a tire failure.
Safety Risk:
Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
A new compliance label will be mailed to each owner. Owners who would like help installing the label can contact a Forest River dealer.
