Issue
Certain trailers were equipped with safety chains that are not strong enough. As a result, if the trailer becomes uncoupled from the tow vehicle, the safety chains could break. This could allow the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle.
Safety risk
A trailer that separates from the tow vehicle could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the safety chains with stronger ones.
