Issue
On certain refrigerated van trailers, the axle nut retaining clips may not have been inspected after assembly. If the clip is not installed correctly, a wheel end (hub, wheel and tires) could separate from the trailer.
Safety risk
The separation of a wheel end could increase the risk of a crash. Wheels that separate could also strike another road user.
Corrective actions
Great Dane will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to them to inspect the axle nut retaining clips and install new ones, if necessary.
