Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the rear brake hose may fail due to overheating from extreme braking. If this happens, braking can only be done using the front brake. This would reduce braking performance.
Safety Risk:
Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
KTM will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the rear brake line and hardware with improved parts.
