Issue:
On certain 2500 and 3500 series trucks, over time, the hood latch could fail. If this happens, the hood may open suddenly while driving.
Safety Risk:
If the hood opens while driving, it could block the driver's view and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the hood assembly.
