Issue:
One truck may have been built without a quick release valve for the rear brakes. As a result, the rear brakes may release slowly when the brake pedal is released.
Safety Risk:
A slow release of the rear brakes could create an increased risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer for an inspection of the air brake system. If there is no quick release valve for the rear brakes, one will be installed.
