Transport Canada Recall - 2020004 -
Brand(s)
Summary
Affected products
2018 | LION | C, 2019 | LION | C
Issue
On some electric school buses, a lack of pressure from the hydraulic pump could cause a loss of power assist to the braking and steering systems. This would cause reduced braking performance and increased steering effort.
Safety risk
Loss of steering assist could result in a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds. Reduced braking performance could cause extended stopping distances. Both of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
The Lion Electric Company will notify the owners by mail. In addition, they will contact you by telephone to schedule an appointment for a Lion technician to change the hydraulic system pressure valve.
