Issue:
On certain trucks, a nut and cotter pin in the steering system may not have been correctly installed. As a result, the drag link could separate and cause a loss of steering control.
Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control would increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Mack will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the drag link attachment points. Trucks will be repaired as necessary.
