Issue:
On certain cars, the right-front daytime running light (DRL) may not work or may not be bright enough to meet Canadian regulations.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2019-292. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
Safety Risk:
A daytime running light that is dimmed or not working could make the car less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your car to a dealer to inspect the right-front headlight. The heat sink or complete right headlight will be replaced as necessary.
