Issue:
On certain vehicles, a metal plate attached to the headliner could detach when the side curtain airbags deploy in a crash. If this happens, the metal plate could hit a passenger.
Safety Risk:
A metal plate striking a passenger could create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Land Rover will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to apply protective tape to the metal plate and headliner attachment area on both the driver and passenger sides.
