Issue:
On certain vehicles, when the side curtain airbags deploy in a crash, they could be damaged by the mounting bolts. As a result, the side curtain airbags may tear and not inflate properly.
Safety Risk:
An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a protective cover over the side curtain airbag bolts.
