Transport Canada Recall - 2019546 - MACK

Issue:
On a certain vehicle equipped with an Eaton automated manual transmission and electronic clutch actuator (ECA), a manufacturing problem could cause the clutch to fail. If this occurs, the broken clutch components could prevent the transmission from disengaging or shifting to neutral.

Safety Risk:
If the transmission does not disengage, the vehicle could move unexpectedly, even if the parking brake is applied. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify the owner by mail. They will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the Transmission Control Module (TCM) software.
