Issue

Issue:
A small number of vehicles were built with tires that could contain a defect in the tread rubber. As a result, small pieces of rubber may partially detach from the tread. This could cause a vehicle vibration and/or abnormal noise. If you continue to drive the vehicle in this state, section(s) of tread may separate from the tire.

Safety Risk:
A tire tread separation could affect vehicle stability and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Mazda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer for an inspection of the tires. If the vehicle has one or more affected tires, all four tires will be replaced.
