Issue:
On certain trucks, the steering shaft assembly may not have been installed correctly. This could cause a loss of connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels, resulting in a loss of steering control.
Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Daimler Trucks of North America authorized service facility to inspect the steering shaft assembly. It will be repaired if required.
