2020 | PETERBILT | 579
Issue
On certain trucks, the reflective conspicuity tape on the back wall of the sleeper box was installed in incorrect locations. Canadian regulations require the conspicuity tape to be placed in specific areas.
Safety risk
A truck that does not have properly placed conspicuity tape may be less visible to others. This could create an increased risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Peterbilt dealer to install additional conspicuity tape on the back wall of the sleeper box, in the required locations.
