Issue
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the starter lock-out relay could be damaged over time, causing it to fail. If this happens, it will not be possible to start the engine.
Note: A possible symptom of a damaged starter lock-out relay is a truck that requires multiple attempts to start.
Safety Risk:
An emergency vehicle with an engine that cannot be started could increase the risk of injury in an emergency situation.
Corrective Actions:
E-One will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a service center to install a relay and diode kit.
