Transport Canada Recall - 2019499 - DAIMLER TRUCK NORTH AMERICA

Issue:
On certain trucks, the warning indicator for low air brake pressure shows “BRAKE AIR” instead of a low brake pressure symbol. Recent changes to Canadian regulations require this symbol to be used.
Note: This recall only affect trucks equipped with an ICU4Me or a Light Bar Cluster configuration.

Safety Risk:
While there is a low risk to safety, as per Canadian regulations, the indicator must use common symbols, instead of words, to avoid driver confusion.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Daimler Trucks of North America authorized service facility to replace the instrument cluster panel.
