Issue
On certain trucks, the warning indicator for low air brake pressure shows “BRAKE AIR” instead of a low brake pressure symbol. Recent changes to Canadian regulations require this symbol to be used. Note: This recall only affect trucks equipped with an ICU4Me or a Light Bar Cluster configuration.
Safety risk
While there is a low risk to safety, as per Canadian regulations, the indicator must use common symbols, instead of words, to avoid driver confusion.
Corrective actions
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Daimler Trucks of North America authorized service facility to replace the instrument cluster panel.
