Issue: On certain fifth wheel trailers, the rotating pin box may contact and damage the 7-way junction box wiring. This could result in a short circuit and/or failure of the trailer brakes, trailer lighting and other features. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. A loss of trailer brakes and/or lighting could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to relocate the 7-way junction box to allow for more clearance when the pin box is pivoting.
