Issue:
On certain vehicles, the right-hand frame rail in the engine compartment may be cracked. This could cause reduced crash performance in certain frontal crashes.
Safety Risk:
Reduced crash performance could create an increased risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection. If the frame rail is found cracked, the vehicle will be replaced.
