Issue
Issue:
Certain trailers were built with a rear impact guard that does not meet the minimum load requirements of Canadian regulations.
Safety Risk:
This could increase the risk of injury to the occupants of a vehicle that impacts the rear-end of the trailer.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailers to an Alutrec-approved service center to inspect the rear impact guard. Reinforcements will be added to the rear impact guard as needed, at no cost to the owner.
