Issue
Issue:
On certain low speed vehicles, the starter generator wire may not be properly secured. This could result in contact between the wire and the exhaust. If the exhaust is hot, it could melt the wire and cause a short circuit.
Safety Risk:
A short circuit could create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Owners should stop using their vehicle until the recall repairs are completed. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, re-route the starter generator wire away from the exhaust.
