Issue
Under certain high-altitude and heavy load conditions, the engine could overheat. This could cause the engine to lose power or fail.
Safety risk
A loss of engine power or an engine failure could increase the risk of a crash. If the bus is disabled, the transfer of passengers to another bus in an uncontrolled environment could also create a risk of injury.
Corrective actions
Prevost will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Prevost or Volvo service center to update the engine software.
